I am about to take up kyokushin karate.

I can find good information on the net but I was wondering if anyone here has any personal experience with this form of karate.

Many thanks,

This is probably too late to be on any use but I thought it would be worth mentioning anyway.

On the 18th July I'm meeting a Turkish Jedi in Budapest.

If anyone else is around they are welcome to join us.

(I will also be with my wife smile.gif )

Does spirituality have a place in the lives of the new generations of the 21st century? and if so, how do we include it effectively when raising our children in what seems to be an ever growing distant and cold society?

Hello everyone at the EJO,

Some basic info about me:

Name: Jadan Katarn
Age: nearly 30 smile.gif
Nationality: British
Location: Hungary
Job: English Teacher

Interests: Sport, travel, politics, culture, learning.

Other: I've visited 27 countries, lived in 5 countries, now married and my wife is pregnant with a baby girl. I trained in England in karate (based on shotokan style) for just 1 year before becoming ill with something called exercise induced urticaria.
Due to this I now only do light exercise.

Link to the Jedi: The Jedi are a mixed bunch, as diverse as any group really, as there is no real set definition almost anyone can claim to be a Jedi or follow the Jedi path.

For me, being a Jedi is about ones harmony with the world we live in. There is a natural instinct to care about life, suffering and compassion.
For me, the Jedi are the genuine 'good guys'. We seek self-improvement, education and a balance between the body and the mind.

If anyone has any questions about me or would like to know more about my own ideas please feel free to ask.
